Clean and Sober Living is Hard

Tonight I had a beautiful experience with a young woman named Alex. She sent me a tweet, cause she was feeling a little down and confused about her attempts to get some sober and clean time under belt.

We shared some of our stories with each other - (Of course me being older and having a number of 24 by 24 behind me - I was trying to help her,) but in the end she helped me more.

She helped me remember how fxcking hard this damn disease of Alcoholism is to live with everyday and the really tough challenges young people - or anyone for that matter faces when first trying to get some clean time.

I just want to say thank you Alex. You kept it real for me. I will not drink today.
